At the end of last year Solinq installed solar panels on my roof. Now, one year later, this is a great opportunity to take stock and see whether or not
We advise our customers to insure the solar panels. For this reason we have teamed up with Solar Insurance & Finance. By accepting a solar panel insurance with Solar Insurance & Finance, you are opting for security.
The solar panel insurance that Solar Insurance & Finance provides consists of two parts:
1. External disaster coverage
2. Loss of production
Due to mechanical failures and external perils that create loss of production. This is also insured. Loss of production is clearly intended for cases whereby the parts are not in stock or for which there are long delivery times.
Consequential damage caused by inherent defects is also insured.
From 01-04 to 01-10 the daily compensation is €2 per KiloWattPeak (kWp); outside of these months, the daily compensation is €1 per kWp. Payment occurs after seven days after loss of production with a maximum compensation period of 26 weeks.
Mechanical failures
The insurance does not cover mechanical failures. This includes faults to components such as the transformer. Usually this is a warranty issue.
